Today (May 28, 2024), Senior Advocate AM Singhvi mentioned Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s application seeking an extension of interim bail by 7 days granted to him in the money laundering case connected to the Delhi liquor policy scam. SA Singhvi requested to list the matter for hearing tomorrow (May 29, 2024). The matter was presented before the vacation bench of the Supreme Court (SC) consisting of Justice JK Maheshwari and Justice KV Viswanathan. The vacation bench refused to pass any direction and said to place the matter before Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud for appropriate orders. The bench orally remarked, “This is heard and reserved matter. We cannot do anything. This matter was heard and reserved on May 17. Place before CJI for appropriate orders.”
