Tirupati Balaji Adulerated Ghee Controversy: Supreme Court Adjourns Hearing Till Tomorrow, October 04

In a significant development relating to the Tirupati Balaji Adulerated Ghee controversy, the Supreme Court (SC) adjourned the hearing of a batch of petitions seeking a court-monitored investigation into the allegations that adulterated ghee has been used to prepare ‘laddu prasadam’ at Tirupati temple till tomorrow (October 04, 2024). The two-judge bench of Justice BR Gavai and Justice KV Viswanathan heard the matter today where Solicitor General Tushar Mehta sought adjournment till tomorrow (October 04, 2024), 10:30 AM. Earlier, the matter was heard on September 30, 2024, where the top court bench criticized Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for making public allegations regarding laddu prasadam at the Tirumala Tirupati Temple.
