The Supreme Court upheld the conviction, finding the chain of circumstances complete: the accused was last seen at the scene; injuries on his face showed struggle; post-mortem ruled out suicide; he fled and avoided funeral rites; and witnesses had no motive to falsely implicate him. The extrajudicial confession was sufficiently corroborated by independent evidence. The appeal was dismissed.
