In Brief
The Court dismissed an application by Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple Trust (SPSTT) seeking exemption from a special audit ordered in an earlier judgment. SPSTT claimed it was an independent entity separate from the Temple and should not be audited. The Court held that the audit direction, when read with the earlier recommendations of the Amicus Curiae and SPSTT's own previous consent to cooperate, clearly covered both the Temple and SPSTT. The Court directed the special audit of both entities to be completed within three months, deferring any final determination on SPSTT's legal status until after the audit findings are available.
