Can anyone retrieve a burnt document, asks Top Court

It lacks logic to pay attention to the stand of an insurance firm that a document that was to be produced was burnt in a very car accident.

The Supreme Court so observed that K Narasimha Reddy had an accident while driving his car in Delhi which his driver's licence was burnt within the fire.

Yet the underwriter insisted that or not it's produced though the surveyor officer had reported that it had been burnt within the accident.

The consumer forum was directed to grant the number upheld by the National Commission. That was challenged by the insurer within the SC.

The SC dismissed it and directed the payment.

The SC said that the stand of the insurer was totally wrong which it lacked logic. How can one produce a document that's beyond one's control, it asked.
