My friend (Sai) and a girl have been in a relationship for the past 12 months and were physically intimate. During this time, she took out a gold loan in my friend's name and sent that money to her own account, for which my friend has proof. On May 12th, while traveling by motorcycle from his hometown to repay that money, my friend met with an accident. Because he and the girl returned home around 12:00 PM after he received incomplete medical treatment, her brothers became suspicious. Later that same night, her parents took her to the hospital. Upon returning, they questioned her and checked her mobile phone. They discovered the relationship, read all their private chats, and even recovered deleted content with the assistance of a friend working at the local police station. The very next day, on May 13th, her family went to Sai’s village. They falsely identified themselves as police officers to the locals and conducted an inquiry. Afterward, the girl was severely beaten by her parents for a month. Due to the strain of the relationship and the family drama, she even attempted suicide by drinking cough syrup. On June 4th, her brothers came to Sai’s home. They intimidated his family with several lies, claiming they had just been released from a one-year jail term and possessed extensive political, local, and police support. Sai was completely unready and firmly refused to give them his mobile phone. However, seeing that Sai was restricted by his injuries from the May 12th accident, the brothers deceived and cheated his parents. They falsely promised the parents that they would only delete the photos and return the device immediately. Out of fear and under this deception, the parents handed over Sai's phone against his wishes. With the help of their contact at the local police station, they searched through all the data on his phone. They accessed private, semi-nude video call recordings of Sai's ex-girlfriend and forwarded them via WhatsApp to Sai’s mother, father, and brother. They are now demanding a gold chain in exchange for returning the phone on June 6th, while threatening further action. Because Sai has a leg fracture from the accident, he is currently waiting to recover before taking next steps. He has also raised several allegations against the girl's brother, calling him a cheater who harasses women. In sometime in May , the girl (Bhargavi) attempted to go to the police station. However, an police officer outside of infornt of ps about her situation and police officer denied to enter into police station and their parents came and take her back home, but after a long conflict, she eventually returned to her college PG hostel. Both Sai and Bhargavi are adults currently studying for their B.Tech degrees. As of today, Sai and family has not contacted her family again regarding his phone.
