Section 29 CrPC Modified Change in amount of fine: ten thousand is replaced by fifty thousand, and five thousand is replaced by ten thousand. The explanation of Section 23 defines "community service." Sub - section 29(4) CrPC is excluded.

Section 23 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 deals with sentences which Magistrates May pass. Under the old law this was Section 29 of the CrPC.
