Section 219 BNSS Modified The Word "child" replaces "minor" and "child" also replaces "person under the age of 18 years" , "is an idiot, or a lunatic" is replaced by " is of unsound mind or is having intellectual disability requiring higher support needs".

Section 198 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 deals with prosecution for offences Against marriage. Under the new law this is Section 219 of the BNSS.
