Section 207 CrPC - Supply to the accused of Copy of police report and Other documents

Section 207 CrPC is now Section 230 of the BNSS - the BNSS replaced the CrPC on 1 July 2024.

Section 230 BNSS Modified This section states that the documents are to be supplied free of cost to the accused without any delay, and in no case beyond 14 days from the date of production or appearance of the accused, and should also be provided to the victim if represented by an advocate. The last proviso state s that the supply of documents in electronic form shall be considered as duly furnished .

Section 207 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 deals with supply to the accused of Copy of police report and Other documents. Under the new law this is Section 230 of the BNSS.
