Section 279 BNSS Modified The w ords "after giving thirty days' time to the complainant to be present" are added. "pleader" is replaced by "advocate" .

Section 256 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 deals with non-appearance or death of Complainant. Under the new law this is Section 279 of the BNSS.
