Section 448 BNSS Modified The words "one thousand rupees" are replaced by “sum” , whereas "two hundred and fifty rupees" is replaced by “sum not exceeding ten thousand rupees".

Section 408 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 deals with power of Sessions Judge to Transfer cases and appeals. Under the new law this is Section 448 of the BNSS.
