Section 54 BNSS Modified The second proviso is excluded as it is already covered under the first proviso by adding the words "the identification process shall be recorded by any audio - video electronic means.".

Section 54A of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 deals with identification of person Arrested. Under the new law this is Section 54 of the BNSS.
