Section 61 CrPC - Form of summons

Section 61 CrPC is now Section 63 of the BNSS - the BNSS replaced the CrPC on 1 July 2024.

Section 63 BNSS	Modified	A new clause (ii) “in an encrypted or any other form of electronic communication and shall bear the image of the seal of the Court or digital signature” is added.

Section 61 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 deals with form of summons. Under the new law this is Section 63 of the BNSS.
