Section 10 IPC - Man

Section 10 IPC is now Section 2(19) of the BNS , Section 2(35) of the BNS - the BNS replaced the IPC on 1 July 2024.

Section 2(19) BNS	Modified	The word “denotes” is replaced with “means” Unlike i n IPC Section 10, “man” and "woman" are bifurcated into two subsections, 2(19) and 2(35) in BNS .
Section 2(35) BNS	Modified	The corresponding section of the IPC contains definitions of man and woman both whereas the BNS deals with them in separate provisions 2(19) and 2(35), respectively.

Section 10 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 deals with man. Under the new law this is Section 2(19) of the BNS.
