Section 152 BNS Modified Sedition as an offence against the government is not retained; Section 152 BNS instead penalises acts endangering the sovereignty, unity and integrity of India.

Section 124A of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 deals with sedition. Under the new law this is Section 152 of the BNS.
