Section 170 IPC - Personating a public servant

Section 170 IPC is now Section 204 of the BNS - the BNS replaced the IPC on 1 July 2024.

Section 204 BNS	Modified	Mandatory minimum imprisonment is introduced as six months and upper limit is increased from two years to three years.

Section 170 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 deals with personating a public servant. Under the new law this is Section 204 of the BNS.
