Section 274 IPC - Adulteration of drugs

Section 274 IPC is now Section 276 of the BNS - the BNS replaced the IPC on 1 July 2024.

Section 276 BNS	Modified	Upper limit of imprisonment is increased from six months to one years and fine is increased from one thousand to five thousand rupees.

Section 274 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 deals with adulteration of drugs. Under the new law this is Section 276 of the BNS.
