Section 300 IPC - Murder

Section 300 IPC is now Section 101 of the BNS - the BNS replaced the IPC on 1 July 2024.

This section	Change	Remarks
Section 101 BNS	Modified	Formal changes, but essence is the same, Secondly, thirdly, and fourthly, are replaced by clauses (a), (b), (c), and (d). The word “it” is replaced by the words "the act by which death is caused".

Section 300 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 deals with murder. Under the new law this is Section 101 of the BNS.
