Section 127(3) BNS Modified The IPC section is included as a sub - section in the BNS sans heading. Imprisonment is increased from two years to three years, and the fine is extended up to ten thousand rupees.

Section 343 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 deals with wrongful confinement for three or More days. Under the new law this is Section 127(3) of the BNS.
