Section 318(3) BNS Modified IPC section is included as a sub - section in BNS sans heading. The u pper limit of imprisonment is increased from three years to five years.

Section 418 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 deals with cheating with knowledge that Wrongful loss may ensue to person Whose interest offender is bound to Protect. Under the new law this is Section 318(3) of the BNS.
