Section 8(5) BNS Modified IPC section is included as sub - section in BNS, sans heading. Words “or in default of community service” are added. Imprisonment and fine are increased.

Section 67 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 deals with imprisonment for non-payment of Fine, when offence punishable with Fine only. Under the new law this is Section 8(5) of the BNS.
