In Brief
Review petitioners who were admitted to an MBBS course in Glocal Medical College through illegal private counselling sought review of a dismissal order. Despite qualifying in NEET 2016, they were admitted in violation of State notifications requiring centralized counselling based on this Court's precedents. Although they completed their first year examinations under an interim order (with results not to be published) and later challenged their MCI discharge order, the Court held that admissions made through flagrant breach of law cannot be validated through sympathy. Private colleges cannot conduct their own counselling; students admitted thereby have no right to continue. The review petitions were dismissed, upholding the purity of academic processes.
