In Brief
Arnab Goswami and two other individuals sought bail while their plea to quash an FIR was pending before the High Court. The High Court had rejected their bail applications. The Supreme Court found the High Court erred in refusing interim bail and allowed the appeals in part. The Court directed the appellants' release on interim bail subject to a personal bond of Rs 50,000 each and conditions to cooperate with investigation and not interfere with witnesses. The interim protection would continue pending the High Court's decision and for four weeks thereafter if further legal recourse was required.
