The Election Commission of India sought directions to retrieve Electoral Bonds data that it had previously filed with the Supreme Court in sealed custody. The ECI needed the data to comply with the Court's March 11, 2024 order directing the upload of the information on its website. The Court authorized the Registry to scan and digitize the files by March 16, 2024, ordered return of the originals to the ECI, and directed the ECI to upload the data by March 17, 2024. Digitized copies were also to be provided to counsel to avoid duplicative work.
