In Brief
Employees of the State of Haryana sought a 12% salary increase from 2000 onwards. The Supreme Court held that similarly situated employees were covered by an earlier judgment granting the increase cumulatively from 2000 with no deductions. The Court allowed these appeals and extended the same order to the appellants. However, the Court clarified that while the monetary increase would be granted cumulatively, the appellants would not receive statutory benefits for the period of delay in implementation.
