Supreme Court of India 2016-03-10 dismissed

Charanjit Kaur vs Bikram Singh & Anr

Bench: 2 — Kurian

In Brief

The Supreme Court dismissed a criminal appeal challenging the 2008 election to the Committee of Management of Shri Manas Shiksha Prasar Samiti, Itaili. As the Committee's three-year term had expired and new elections had been held in 2011 and 2014, the Court found the factual disputes moot and lacking substantive relief. The Court directed that the currently elected Committee continue until its term expires, leaving all other legal questions open for future consideration.
