The District Bar Association Dehradun filed a Special Leave Petition challenging a High Court judgment dated 25 September 2019 in a public interest litigation case (WRIT PETITION 31/2016) from the Uttarakhand High Court. On 20 February 2020, a two-judge bench of the Supreme Court heard the learned senior counsel for the petitioner and reserved judgment, indicating that a substantive decision would follow at a later date."
