GPR Power Solutions sued to recover dues for piping work supplied to the Corporate Debtor. An arbitrator awarded them a sum in 2018. When the debtor entered insolvency in February 2020, GPR missed the three-month filing deadline for its insolvency claim because of the COVID-19 lockdown. The National Company Law Tribunal and its Appellate Authority rejected the late claim. The Supreme Court held that the pandemic-period extension of limitation granted in its earlier Suo Motu Writ Petition remained binding and applied. GPR's claim, filed on 14 January 2021, fell within that extended period and should not have been rejected. The appeal was allowed.
