In Brief
Hanumant Dinkar Arjun filed a criminal complaint against a Sub-Inspector of Police alleging abuse of authority and destruction of evidence, based on adverse observations in a Sessions Court order convicting four accused persons. The complainant sought action against the officer in connection with his investigation. The Supreme Court dismissed the appeal, holding that since the foundational conviction order was pending appeal in the High Court, the complaint could not be entertained. The Court reserved opinion on the merits and permitted the complainant to approach again after the appeal concluded.
