The Land and Building Department of Delhi sought to appeal against dismissal of land acquisition proceedings involving Green Finance Pvt. Ltd. The Supreme Court dismissed the appeal, noting that an identical appeal by the Delhi Development Authority concerning the same acquisition had already been dismissed on 20 September 2016. While dismissing the present appeal, the Court reserved the right of the DDA to initiate fresh acquisition proceedings in accordance with the legal principles established in the earlier judgment. No costs were awarded.
