In Brief
Maninder Singh sought quashing of FIR No. 345/2014 registered at PS K.N. Katju Marg, Delhi. Both parties had amicably settled their disputes through a settlement deed dated 3 January 2021, and the complainant (respondent No. 2) had no objection to the petition being allowed. The Supreme Court held that as the parties had settled their differences and no useful purpose would be served by continuing the prosecution, the FIR and all consequent proceedings were quashed, and the petition was allowed.
