Monu Kumar and others filed an appeal against rejection of their joint consumer complaint. The appellants had sought permission to file a joint complaint, and the court admitted the complaint and issued notice. However, the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission later rejected the application. The Supreme Court held that permission to file the joint complaint was inherent in the order of admission, even if not expressly stated. The Court allowed the appeal, set aside the rejection, and remitted the case for reconsideration on merits.
