In Brief
Pawan Kumar Gupta filed a review petition seeking reconsideration of an order passed by the Supreme Court in a special leave petition. The petitioner also prayed that the review petition be heard in open court. The Supreme Court examined the review petition and found that the prior order contained no error apparent on the face of the record warranting reconsideration. The Court therefore declined the prayer for open court hearing and dismissed the review petition. The decision reaffirms that review petitions under Article 137 of the Constitution require demonstration of manifest error to succeed."
