The Supreme Court held that once a dismissal order is validly quashed in a writ petition, departmental proceedings cannot continue based on that order. The Court allowed the appeal, ruling that the writ petition should be decided afresh by the Single Judge without direction to continue proceedings that were the subject of the challenge.
