The Supreme Court dismissed an appeal challenging the High Court's rejection of an application to revoke letters of administration granted to the respondent regarding a deceased woman's will. The deceased and her husband were US citizens; she died in California in 1981 with property in Maharashtra, India. The appellant sought revocation, claiming lack of notice and alleging irregularities. The Court held that the three-year limitation period under Article 137 of the Limitation Act, 1963 applies to revocation applications and runs from the date of grant of letters, not from the date of knowledge. Since the application was filed nearly five years after grant, it was time-barred.
