Saidul Islam @ Saidur Rahman and 2 Ors vs State of Assam

Bench: 1 — <UNKNOWN>

In Brief

A 17-year-old girl alleged that she was raped multiple times by one of three accused petitioners. The other two accused were the alleged rapist's wife and sister. Upon examining the investigation file, the Court found sufficient incriminating material against the primary accused and rejected his pre-arrest bail application. However, finding no material evidence against the other two petitioners, the Court granted them pre-arrest bail, requiring a bail bond of Rs. 10,000 each with one surety. The applicants were directed to appear before the investigating officer within 10 days."
