The Supreme Court addressed a contempt petition arising from Sahara's attempt to obstruct the Court-ordered auction of Aamby Valley property by appealing to police authorities. The Court held that such interference constituted contempt and reaffirmed that the High Court Judges have discretion in auction procedures. To protect the valuable property from encroachment pending completion of auction, the Court appointed the Official Receiver of the Bombay High Court as Receiver with responsibility for maintenance and security. Coordination between the Company Judge and Justice A.S. Oka was directed to ensure smooth auction proceedings."
