This appeal concerned the termination of workers employed by a transport union. Before the Court could decide the substantive legal issues, all employees were terminated from service effective 01.04.2015. With the agreement of both parties that the terminated workers would not challenge their dismissal under any applicable law, the Supreme Court found the questions raised had become academic. Accordingly, the appeal was disposed of with the legal issues left open and the complaint dismissed as withdrawn. No costs were awarded.
