Additional Judge, Justice Arvind Kumar Verma - Permanent Judge of the Chhattisgarh High Court, Approves SC Collegium

Recently, the Supreme Court (SC) Collegium issued a resolution approving the proposal to appoint Additional Judge Shri Justice Arvind Kumar Verma as a Permanent Judge of the Chhattisgarh High Court (HC). The Collegium, constituting Chief Justice of India (CJI) Surya Kant, Justice Vikram Nath, Justice BV Nagarathna, Justice JK Maheshwari, and Justice MM Sundresh, issued the resolution on December 02, 2025. Initially, in January 2024, his name was recommended for judgeship by the SC Collegium, and he took oath as an Additional Judge of the Chhattisgarh High Court on January 23, 2024. After considering his contributions to the law and evaluating his overall work, the SC Collegium approved his appointment as a permanent judge of the Chhattisgarh HC.
