Case of Bilkis Bano: Convicts freed due to 'good behaviour', Gujarat government tells Apex Court

The Pinnacle court is hearing 3 petitions, two of which are started by CPM politburo member Subhasini Ali and Trinamool’s MP Mahua Moitra

The government of Gujarat has informed the Top Court that the eleven men convicted for the gang rape of Bilkis Bano were released on grounds of 'Decent behaviour' and also that they had been in prison for fourteen ears.

The convicts were set free on Independence Day, a decision which had created a flutter across the nation and on the Internet.
