The Supreme Court will announce its verdict on 23rd February in the matter regarding AIADMK leadership dispute against Mr. Edappadi K. Palaniswami who is former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu along with O. Panneerselvam. The last hearing of the case was held on January 11 this year when the Apex Court reserved the judgment. The Supreme Court Bench will Pronounce its Judgment today.
It is noteworthy that several writ petitions filed against the amendments which were made to the bylaws of the AIADMK party while conducting the general meeting on July, 11, 2022. Mr. O. Pannerselvam had to leave the post of party coordinator as this post was dissolved by the amendments under challenge in the Supreme Court.
The division bench of Madras High Court had ruled against the order of learned single last year in favor of Mr. O. Panneerselvam who was appointed party’s interim general secretary after the said amendments
