On Sunday (November 09, 2025), the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) hosted the inaugural ‘Justice for All’ Run/Walkathon (8KM) and Tree Plantation Drive in New Delhi. The SCBA organized this ‘Justice for All’ campaign to draw attention to the growing pendency of cases as well as to ensure the need to restore public confidence in the justice delivery system. In this drive, about 2000 participants, including judges, lawyers, and citizens, participated in a collective call for a more accessible and sustainable justice system. The event was inaugurated and flagged off by the Chief Justice of India (CJI) BR Gavai, which started from the Supreme Court of India campus and concluded at the India Gate. Judges of the SC, Chief Justices, and judges of various High Courts, and members of the Bar also participated in the campaign. SCBA President and Senior Advocate Vikas Singh, while speaking on the occasion, said, “Even if all cases are decided, it will not be justice for all, because the winning side will feel they got justice, but the losing side will not. True justice can only be achieved through mediation, where both parties are heard and a consensus is built, rather than conflict.” He added, “By promoting mediation, the judiciary can transform the justice delivery system into one that heals rather than divides.” Following the Run/Walkathon campaign, a Tree Plantation Drive was also conducted at the lawns of the Supreme Court and nearby areas, promoting environmental awareness.
