The SC bench was hearing the Special Leave Petition filed by Umar Khalid against the 2022 order of the Delhi High Court denying him bail. While initiating the SC proceedings regarding the matter today, Justice Bopanna said “This will come before some other bench. There is some difficulty on the part of my brother”. The bench further ordered to place the matter before another composition on 17 August 2023.
