Supreme Court Grants Interim Bail to Congress Spokesperson Pawan Khera

Thursday 23, February Supreme court provided relief to Congress spokesperson Mr. Pawan Khera by granting him interim bail. Mr. Khera who was booked by the Uttar Pradesh and Assam police for fouling Prime Minister Modi’s name during a press conference while demanding a probe in Adani-Hindenburg controversy. However, Khera said it was just a slip of tongue.   

The matter was presented before the bench comprising the Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud and justices PS Narasimha and MR Shah.The Congress Politician was arrested from Delhi Airport by the Assam police under Section 153 A as multiple FIR’s were filed against him after the said press conference.  

Mr. Khera has also requested the Apex court to club the multiple FIR’s on which the court has sought opinion of State of Assam and Uttar Pradesh as FIR has been filed against him in several cities in these two states .
