On August 29, 2023, the Supreme Court of India postponed the hearing of the Adani-Hindenburg case where the bench had to address status reports submitted by the SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India). On August 25, the SEBI submitted the status reports regarding the probe related to the accusations made by the short-seller Hindenburg research report. It was determined that the Constitution bench of the Supreme Court will continue hearing a batch of petitions related to the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution of India. Initially, the report was to be submitted by August 14 but the SEBI asked for a 15-day extension because of large amounts of data because of which the report was submitted on August 25.
