The Pinnacle Court to listen bail case of ex-Fortis Businessman Malvinder Mohan Singh

The Top court today accepted to hear during the day itself a plea requesting a relief in interim bail to the former promoter of Fortis Hospitals Ltd Malvinder Mohan Singh in regard to the serious condition of his wife.

Bench composed of Justices CJI Uday Umesh Lalit and Justice Bela M Trivedi took the requests of SC lawyer Kailash Vasudev, on behalf for Singh, that the hearing of case be heard immediately as the situation of his spouse is serious due to countdown in her platelets

The Supreme Court made an order to the standing counsel of the state government of Delhi and noted the case for hearing at 1 pm.

At present Singh is prisoned in Tihar jail in a case of the alleged Disproportionate of funds at Religare Finvest Limited (RFL).

In the month of September 2022, the Top Court delivered a 6 months jail term to Singh in a violation case of the sale of shares of Fortis to Malaysia-based IHH Healthunit.
