In relation to the Women Wrestler’s Sexual Harassment case, the petitioners (top women wrestlers) seek permission to file an additional affidavit in a sealed cover. In this case, the petitioners sought FIR registration against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president, over alleged sexual harassment. The request for permission to submit a sealed cover affidavit was mentioned before the Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud and Justice PS Narasimha. While requesting the same, the petitioner’s senior counsel stated that “I am seeking permission to file an additional affidavit in a sealed cover. It is in the women wrestlers' molestation matter. We don’t have any problem supplying the affidavit to Mr Mehta but we don’t wanted to go in the public domain.” Further, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said “I suggested to him, now the investigation is going on. Instead of showing this to your lordships, why don’t you go and show it to the investigative agency?” But the Counsel requested the Supreme Court to peruse the affidavit whereas SG asked the counsel whether he can share the sealed cover with the Investigative Officer or not. To this, the counsel agreed and stated that he did not have any problem sharing it with the Investigative Officer.
