In Brief
Dr. Ajay Sher sought special leave to appeal against the High Court's rejection of his application for stay of criminal trial proceedings. The Supreme Court dismissed the petition, holding that it does not normally interfere with interim orders passed by High Courts. However, the Court suggested that the underlying criminal miscellaneous application (CRM-M No. 23261 of 2017) should be heard expeditiously by the High Court, and requested that the petitioner approach the High Court accordingly.
