In Brief
Petitioners sought directions for a unified online counselling process for all postgraduate medical seats, including DNB PG seats, which were being allocated separately. The Supreme Court found merit in the grievance but declined interim relief as the allocation for that year was already substantially complete. However, the Court expressed confidence that authorities would implement common counselling from the following year onwards, as they had indicated in principle agreement. The petition was disposed accordingly.
