The Supreme Court clarified its earlier judgment on the criteria for designating Senior Advocates. A Senior Advocate sought modification of the marking system for counsel with 10-20 years of practice. The Court held that instead of allocating a fixed ten marks, counsel should receive one mark for each year of practice within the 10-20 year range, reflecting their standing at the Bar. The modification was effective immediately. Other relief sought, including mandating written reasons for secret ballots and publishing cut-off marks, was deferred for further consideration.
